Thousands gathered inside Los Angeles’ Staples Center to say goodbye to the slain Grammy-nominated rapper and entrepreneur Nipsey Hussle on Thursday afternoon (April 11).
Taking to the stage first to pay tribute with a song was singer-songwriter Marsha Ambrosius. The singer-songwriter and late artist collaborated on a track titled “Real Big” on his debut studio album Victory Lap. Ambrosius walked the length of the stage and took several deep breaths before tearfully singing Mariah Carey’s 2006 single “Fly Like A Bird.”

Marsha’s performance left many watching the live stream online even more emotional and distraught than when the highly-viewed service began.
